About Us

We're here to help.

At Rooted Counseling, everything we do begins with connection. We believe that healing starts not with fixing, but with being fully seen and heard. That’s why we’ve created a space where therapy feels less clinical and more human — where you can bring your whole self without fear of judgment or pressure to perform.

Whether you’re just beginning your healing journey or looking to go deeper, we’re here to help you grow strong from the inside out.

Lisa Weaber, LPC

Registered Play Therapist™

Hello! My name is Lisa Weaber. My husband and I and our 4 children are lucky enough to have called the Valley our home since 2013. After graduating from Toccoa Falls College with a BS in Christian Counseling, I earned my MA in Counseling in 2003 from Regent University, and in 2007 became a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals and families, and integrate different modalities such as IFS and CBT into my counseling in order to best serve each person. I am trained in EMDR and provide trauma focused counseling. I also specialize in providing therapy for children and adolescents, and am a Registered Play Therapist. In my work with kids and adolescents, I often utilize sand tray, directive and non-directive play therapy, and attachment interventions into sessions. I am also a LPC Resident Supervisor and provide supervision to those seeking licensure.

Ashlei Woods

MAMFT, RMFT

Hey there! My name is Ashlei, and I grew up in southern Illinois, moving to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in 2012. The Lord has been calling me to the field of counseling my whole life. I received my Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Liberty University. My passion is for children and families to experience the fullness of what a family unit can be and for individuals to know their worth, all through identifying and healing experiences from the past that are still affecting the present and teaching skills for healthier interactions and relationships. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy and structural family therapy for my theoretical orientation in the counseling room but also incorporate other theories as necessary to fit the needs of my client. I am also in training for providing play therapy services as I have a heart for children and use a child-centered approach. Outside the counseling room, I offer speaking services, professional development and school partnerships to bring counseling into the school setting.

Megan Kincheloe, LPC

Hi! My name is Megan and I am so happy to meet you! My husband and I were raised in the Shenandoah Valley, and along with our two children, we still call the Valley home. I graduated with a BS Degree in Psychology from Bridgewater College and then later went back to Liberty University where I earned a MA Degree in Professional Counseling. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 8 years now and absolutely love what I do! I believe wholeheartedly in offering trauma-informed care to those who have had adverse life experiences that are continuing to impact their day to day.
My passion is to help individuals recognize their value and worth, overcome shame, and live an abundant life of freedom. Whether working with trauma, anxiety, or depression, I consider it a great honor to hold space for individuals and to be able to walk with them towards personal growth and healing.  I am Level 1 and Level 2 trained in EMDR and have recently completed a training focusing on using EMDR with first responders. I am deeply committed to serving those who serve our communities. I also use an integrative approach in sessions using tools from various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which encourages individuals to challenge maladaptive thought patterns.
Lastly, if you are seeking licensure in counseling, I am a LPC resident supervisor and thoroughly enjoy providing supervision for those seeking this path.
